Second Global Workshop - OntoCommons addressing the challenges of the Industry 5.0 Transition

13 Jun 2023

The highly anticipated second edition of the Ontology Commons Global Workshop is here, and it promises to be an engaging event with a lineup of esteemed speakers from the industrial sector. Building on the success of the first release of the OntoCommons Roadmap, this workshop will gather valuable feedback from industrial experts on the needs, challenges, and priority actions identified. This input is crucial for OntoCommons' mission to harmonise ontology-based interoperability and align its Ontology Commons Toolkit EcoSystem (OCES) with industry requirements in the dynamic landscape of Industry 5.0.

Moreover, the workshop fosters effective dialogue between the materials and manufacturing domains, recognising the pivotal role of materials science in product design and manufacturing. By promoting better communication and data interoperability, OntoCommons aims to contribute to more sustainable, efficient, and competitive industries. This collaboration can lead to optimised product design, reduced waste, and enhanced efficiency in materials characterization, modelling, and manufacturing processes.

Taking place from June 13 to 16, 2023, the workshop offers a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person at the University of Oslo or online. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions, exchange insights, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in ontology. By actively participating, individuals can play a role in shaping the future of the industry and contribute to the global conversation on ontologies and data management.
Don't miss out on this exceptional chance to become part of a global network of experts dedicated to advancing the field of ontology.
