EOSC Association Website

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the new EOSC Association website (www.eosc.eu), another exciting tangible result of Trust-IT’s work within the Horizon 2020 project EOSCsecretariat.eu to support to the governance of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

The website is the main communications and engagement hub for the EOSC Association, the legal entity which governs EOSC. With already over 210 member and observer organisations from across Europe and beyond, the Association represents a single voice for the advocacy and representation for the broader EOSC Stakeholder community, promoting alignment of EU research policy and priorities. The Association plays a key part in the implementation phase of EOSC. This is the focus of a co-programmed Partnership by the European Commission that sees EU funding of almost €500 million and an in-kind contribution from partners of also €500 million.

EOSC represents a cultural and technical transition in the way science is done in Europe and beyond. It aims to improve the storing, sharing and especially the combining and reusing of research data across borders and scientific disciplines. The EOSC Association is at the very heart of this.

Our role

Trust-IT has been a key partner in the EOSCsecretariat.eu project from January 2019 to October 2021, specifically focusing on communications, stakeholder engagement and technical support for the interim EOSC Governance in 2019-20 and to its successor, the EOSC Association, which was founded in July 2020 and officially kicked off its operations in December 2020.

Through 2021, project activities have focused on communicating the evolution of the Association and its achievements, including the publication of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), the establishment of the 5 new Advisory Groups and the 13 related Task Forces, as well as the signing of the EOSC Partnership with the European Commission.

To conclude our mandate as part of EOSCsecretariat.eu, we have worked on a new design and user interface for the official EOSC Association website in collaboration with the Secretary General and Board of Directors, marking another crucial step in the EOSC Association journey and providing a central reference for information about the EOSC ecosystem.

This restyling also included an updated communications kit with a presentation template, visuals, and a matching newsletter layout.
