SLA-Ready project Kick off meeting

Cloud contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are key components defining cloud services. However, SLAs are arguably the least understood aspect. With this firmly in mind, a brand-new EC-funded project SLA-Ready kicks off today at Trust-IT's offices in Pisa.  SLA-Ready looks to de-mystify SLAs for SMEs and public administrations by publishing a clear and concise reference model.
Lead by Trust-IT, the international consortium of partners include CSA-Cloud Security Alliance, NUMERGY, Arthur's Legal and TU - Technische Universität Darmstadt.
The overriding goal of SLA-Ready is to increase cloud customers understanding of SLAs and boost uptake especially in the European private sector. SLA-Ready will ensure that cloud customers (especially SMEs) are properly educated and advised on SLAs. Making them SLA-aware will enable them to assess cloud SLAs, make better informed decisions and guide them on emerging cloud SLA challenges and pitfalls. SLA-Ready will also improve the competitive position of Europe in the cloud sector by building on an extensive partner network and focused communication tools.

Trust-IT Services will bring its extensive experience in cloud computing though its involvement in several European funded initiatives and bringing its expertise in communicating benefits and key issues around cloud adoption through its copywriting skills, media relations, web design and customised content, as well as its social media activities.
