ESCAPE to the Future

ESCAPE (European Science Cluster of Astronomy & Particle physics ESFRI research infrastructures) is an H2020 project and one of the five ESFRI clusters that aim to produce versatile solutions to support the implementation of EOS, encourage cross-fertilisation and foster joint multiwavelength/multi-messenger capabilities in the astronomy, astrophysics and particle astrophysics communities.

The project brings together a cluster with ESFRI projects with aligned challenges of data-driven research, with demonstrated capabilities in addressing various stages of data workflow and concerned with fundamental research through complementary approaches.

To support the EOSC implementation, ESCAPE has created the “EOSC Cell”, a cross-border and multidisciplinary environment to enable the EOSC community to adopt the services, e-infrastructures, and data stewardship of ESFRI projects.

• Citizen Science (CS): an open gateway dedicated to the public through Citizen Science and communication actions.
• Data Infrastructure for Open Science (DIOS): a scalable federated data infrastructure as the basis of an open access data service for the ESFRIs projects within ESCAPE and concerned by Exabyte-scale data volumes.
• ESFRI Science Analysis Platform (ESAP): a flexible science platform for analysing open access data.
• Open science Software and Service Repository (OSSR): the repository of scientific software services of the research infrastructures concerned by the ESCAPE.
• Virtual Observatory (VO): astronomical high-level products archive and related services.

ESCAPE project is pleased to announce that the ESCAPE Final Event will take place between 25 and 26 October 2022, at the Royal Belgium Institute of Natural Sciences, located in Brussels (Belgium).

They are inviting you to join us in Brussels or through a remote connection. Please note we have a limit of 150 registrations for those who aim to join us in Brussels, advising you to save your seat at the earliest. Registration is open till 24 September 23:59 CEST.
The event is open to all and free of charge.

Purpose and scope

The members of the cluster will share their results and achievements, present ESCAPE services and discuss the future challenges of the ESCAPE Collaboration. 
Learn about the ESCAPE results and foresee the future after the end of the ESCAPE project.

Who should attend

ESCAPE project members, as well as members of other Science Clusters, EOSC-Association members, ESFRI and other Research Infrastructure representatives. Astrophysics, Particle and Nuclear Physics scientific community members and all those interested in the ESCAPE services and in EOSC overall.

Our role

Trust-IT brings its expertise, participating in the activities of engagement and communication. Moreover, the team will help to:

• Shape the agenda.
• Recruit relevant participants through social media engagement and newsletter campaigns.
• Develop graphic materials (website, social media and newsletter banners and a set of social media cards customed by the speaker).
