Standardisation plays a critical role in the development and deployment of new technologies and, therefore, is of strategic importance to all economies. However, the fitness-for-purpose of standardisation activities relies on the competence of experts who participate in them. Trust IT is doing an incredible service to society with projects such as HSbooster, INSTAR and StandICT, through which it provides education about standardisation and sponsors the participation of experts, and particularly of women experts, in technical committees and workgroups. This increases participation, representation and diversity, thus improving the quality and gender-responsiveness of standards and contributing to a better future.
