Trust-IT Services has recently released the latest version of the Intranet for EPOS ERIC (European Plate Observing System), the long term plan project to facilitate integrated use of data and facilities from distributed research infrastructures in relation to solid Earth science in Europe.

EPOS involves scientists, national research infrastructures, ICT experts, decision makers and public to develop new concepts and tools for sustainable answers to questions concerning geo-hazards and geodynamic phenomena.

The EPOS Intranet is the communication platform designed to manage and track communications, decisions and activities inside the EPOS community. 

The previous Intranet was released in 2017 and there are significant areas of improvement in the 2020 version.

• New layout, simpler and more straightforward;
• Integration with Zoom conferencing tool where each Intranet member can instantly interact with other participants of the EPOS community;
• Technical link to the File Repository with the single sign-on to easily access the dedicated and shared folders gathering key project documents;
• Group mailing list, with new members of the group that are automatically subscribed to the list;
• There is an Help Desk section performed to assist the users with their requests and issues;
• A Tutorial for the new EPOS platform was introduced to facilitate the platform learning path to the Intranet uses. 

As a result of our survey taken on the EPOS community members, the feedback has been very positive and enthusiastic, the Intranet users  have shown appreciation and interest to the enhancements and changes that have been done.
