EU-driven Solutions Enabling Energy Efficiency in Building

On 19 January 2022, the Horizon Results Booster (HRB) brought together three coordination and support actions on energy efficiency in buildings to highlight the importance of skills, knowledge and business-enabling tools that play a key role in the transition towards a greener economy. Insights came from Construye2020_Plus, ESI Europe and Construction Blueprint, as well as the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.

This joint webinar, entitled “EU-driven solutions enabling energy efficiency in buildings”, attracted 104 registrants from 24 countries around the globe.

The webinar shone the spotlight on EU priorities and future funding priorities alongside the collective outcomes and impacts of the three host projects. Construye2020_Plus focuses on increasing the number of skilled building professionals and/or blue-collar workers across the building value chain to improve the overall quality of renovations and new constructions. Complementing this, is the ESI Europe project, which has created GoSafe with ESI, a combination of financial and nonfinancial tools that project developers and technology providers can use to create trust and attract investments in energy efficiency. Construction Blueprint is implementing a new strategic approach to sectoral cooperation on skills, including gap analysis and mismatches, to enable innovation on energy efficiency, digitalisation and the circular economy.
