INNOVADE Living Lab: Envisioning Digital Democracy

The second INNOVADE Living Lab, Envisioning Digital Democracy, will take place in Paderborn, Germany, bringing together citizens, civil society, government representatives, civic tech organisations, and leading experts to co-create innovative tools for inclusive and effective digital participation.
Living Labs are at the heart of the INNOVADE project’s mission to transform democratic engagement through technology. They provide collaborative spaces where diverse perspectives converge to address challenges such as digital divides, online participation mechanisms, open governance, digital activism, e-voting, and risks from foreign interference – all while leveraging emerging trends in digital democracy.
This two-day event will build on extensive research conducted within INNOVADE to shape practical tools, such as the Interdisciplinary Knowledge Base on Digital Democracy and the Digital Democracy Grading Toolkit, ensuring they are grounded in real-world needs and inclusive design principles.
