On October 11, 2024, the CoordinaTEF project officially launched with an online Kick-Off meeting, gathering key partners and stakeholders to set the stage for its ambitious mission. CoordinaTEF seeks to coordinate Europe’s AI Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) to foster the widespread adoption of AI technologies across industries, providing seamless support for innovators and ensuring a cohesive service offering.

Project Overview

CoordinaTEF’s primary goal is to create a structured and unified approach across TEFs, particularly supporting SMEs and businesses in bringing AI-based technologies from lab to market. By harmonising service offerings and facilitating collaboration among TEFs, the project aims to maximise the impact of these facilities on the European AI landscape.

Key outcomes of the Kick-Off Meeting

A key discussion during the meeting centred on developing a "Client Journey" concept for companies seeking AI services from TEFs. The focus is on ensuring that SMEs can navigate the TEF ecosystem smoothly, identifying the right service providers without duplication of efforts. The approach encourages expansion and exploration while maintaining efficiency. TEFs aim to ensure active engagement with SMEs and provide direct support to meet their needs effectively.

The meeting also highlighted the need for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to focus on the client experience. Measuring success will not only be based on technical milestones but also on how well TEFs serve the companies utilising their services. Client-centric KPIs will help ensure that TEFs are delivering practical value and driving real-world AI adoption.

Trust-IT’s role in CoordinaTEF

As a core partner, Trust-IT plays a crucial role in the project, leading the creation of the Knowledge Sharing Platform that will serve as a hub for collaboration and resource-sharing across TEFs. Additionally, Trust-IT will organise webinars on platform usage, support event organisation, and oversee the communication and dissemination strategy for CoordinaTEF. Their efforts will ensure that the project’s outputs reach the right audiences, fostering greater collaboration and visibility for the TEFs.
