The EUDAT Conference 2024, the bi-annual flagship event organised by Trust-IT Services for the pan-European e-infrastructure for research data management services, EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (EUDAT), is closing its discounted Early Bird registration and open calls for presentations, demos, posters, and sessions on 31 August 2024.

For more than 10 years, Trust-IT has contributed to or directly organises the event which provides a platform for the EUDAT community and the wider European community of research data professionals to meet and learn about the latest advances in the field. This edition, the EUDAT Conference 2024, will be held at the ZKM Karlsruhe (Center for Art and Media) from 3-5 December 2024.

The previous edition was held in Athens, Greece in 2022 and provided a much needed meeting place for leading research data professionals in Europe.

Early Bird to close, regular registration to continue

Apart from registration for on-site attendees, remote participation will also be provided.

Registration for both participant types have been available since July but the Early Bird discounted rate (€75) will be discontinued at the end of August and the regular registration fee of €200 for onsite attendees and €100 for remote participants will be available.

Open call for visibility in the programme

There is currently an open call for sessions, presentations, demos and posters which is expected to close by 31 August 2024. Anyone interested in contributing or shaping the programme should seriously consider submissions to the open call before the deadline.

As part of its regular programme, the first day will be dedicated to sessions that showcase RDM solutions that address the research data lifecycle. A poster parade and exhibition will bring you face-to-face with some of the innovators in the field and allow networking opportunities. As a new aspect of this year’s conference, there will be a call for demonstrations where a select few will be able to demonstrate their solutions to the conference audience.

The second and third day of the conference will then be dedicated towards providing a holistic view of the fast-changing landscape. Topics such as EOSC, the Data Spaces, the connection with HPC and handling sensitive data will be tackled in dedicated sessions that provide a view of developments on a European level. At the same time a session will also be dedicated to looking at individual national experiences and best practices providing various perspectives from the EUDAT members. This EUDAT Conference also aims to showcase more outside perspectives with calls for sessions.
