Last week, ALLPROS.eu proudly announced the release of the “Blueprint Report: Bridging the Skills Gap in the Semiconductor Industry”. This comprehensive report outlines seven strategic recommendations developed by the Thematic Working Group on Skills aimed at addressing the talent shortage and fortifying the European semiconductor ecosystem.The semiconductor industry is experiencing a persistent demand for skilled talent, a challenge that has driven both governments and companies to adopt strategic measures. Given the specialised nature of semiconductor manufacturing, bridging this talent gap is a complex issue that cannot be resolved through unilateral efforts.
To unify the efforts of European industry, governments, and academia, ALLPROS.eu established and coordinated a Thematic Working Group on Skills, drawing experienced members from leading organisations in industry, academia, and international partnerships to define efficient solutions. This group was tasked with formulating recommendations to tackle the talent shortage, taking into account the needs of the market and of national governments adopting the Triple Helix approach.
The insights and analysis provided by the TWG on Skills have culminated in the Blueprint Report, a collaborative document designed to offer practical guidelines from industry, educational, and governmental perspectives. This report is set to be a pivotal resource in addressing the skills shortage and ensuring the sustainable growth of the European semiconductor sector.
