NATI00NS General Assembly 2023: Accelerating Progress in Mission Soil adoption

21 Nov 2023

From October 18-19, 2023, the vibrant city of Novi Sad, Serbia, hosted the NATI00NS General Assembly. This pivotal two-day event was held at the BioSense Institute and the University of Novi Sad, bringing together project partners to debrief on the first year of the project, align on priorities and fine-tune the action plan for the second year of the Nati00ns.

In-Depth Sessions and Collective Vision

This assembly wasn’t just a meeting—it was a forum for comprehensive discussions, interactive workshops, and firsthand experiences from a thriving living lab. It commenced with an extensive review of the project's inaugural year, spotlighting achievements and areas for growth across various Work Packages. The emphasis was on recognising successes and challenges as driving forces for progress. Partners openly exchanged thoughts, feedback, and invaluable insights, fostering an environment for shared learning.

Heading Year Two: Survey Insights and Forward Strategies

A substantial part of the assembly centred on shaping the project’s second year. The Consortium Meeting unfolded with detailed discussions spanning National Engagement Events, Capacity Building, Mentorship, Matchmaking Platform, and Helpdesk. Interactive workshops brought partners together to strategise and outline a meticulous plan for the upcoming year.

Partners focused also on surveys tailored for coordinators and participants involved in the HORIZON-MISS-2023-SOIL-01-08 and -09 calls, that were open until October 31, 2023. The surveys are instrumental in developing optimal support strategies for future Soil Health Living Lab applicants and the Soil Mission. These insights are pivotal in devising optimal support strategies for future Mission Soil applicants.

Strategic Implications and Moving Forward

The NATI00NS Consortium Meeting unveiled a roadmap for the future. It underscored the project's pivotal role in the EU Soil Mission, advocating for increased awareness and guidance in soil health and management to make a lasting impact.
