Every year, Europe hosts one of its most insightful and future-shaping conferences focused on 6G technology: the EuCNC & 6G Summit. This year’s edition took place in the vibrant city of Poznań, Poland, from 3 to 6 June 2025, and drew a record number of participants from across industry, research, and innovation communities.
At the heart of Europe’s 6G strategy is the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), which once again played a central role at the event. As the key EU initiative driving the development and deployment of 6G technologies, the SNS JU ensured a robust and dynamic presence through a comprehensive programme of insightful workshops, high-level sessions, and a dedicated exhibition booth, designed by Trust-IT Services as part of the SNS CO-OP project.
Supported by SNS CO-OP, the Coordination and Support Action assisting the SNS JU Office, the booth highlighted the initiative’s strategic priorities, the Open Call for Proposals 2025, and the results of its rapidly growing portfolio. In line with its mission, SNS JU also unveiled two key publications during the event:
- The SNS Journal, providing a detailed overview of the initiative’s funded project portfolio, supported by nearly €500 million in EU investment;
- The first SNS Trials & Pilots Brochure, highlighting 8 selected T&Ps, real-world deployments, and tangible progress across funded initiatives.

In a keynote speech at the event, Erzsébet Fitori, SNS JU Executive Director, outlined the vision guiding the SNS programme:
“We are entering a new phase of 6G. Our programme is closely aligned with global standardisation timelines, and we know that delivering 6G will require an unprecedented level of collaboration, across sectors, disciplines and borders.”
She also shared an encouraging signal of growth in the research community: over 3,700 researchers are now actively engaged in SNS JU activities, with a notable proportion being first-time participants, a clear sign of the initiative's expanding reach and inclusivity across Europe.
Strengthening Community and Visibility through Strategic Communication
Beyond the event, there are continuous efforts to strengthen Europe’s 5G/6G ecosystem. Trust-IT Services, as the communication partner of SNS CO-OP, plays a vital role in amplifying the impact of SNS JU-funded projects.
One of its key contributions is the coordination of a monthly Communication Task Force, bringing together projects across the SNS JU portfolio. These meetings serve as collaborative touchpoints for showcasing achievements, exchanging best practices, and strengthening the outreach to the community. By facilitating targeted knowledge exchange and strategic synergies, Trust-IT Services is helping to build a cohesive and visible European ecosystem for 5G and 6G innovation.
This collaborative spirit is essential to advancing Europe's position in global technology development and ensuring that its research and innovation outputs achieve wide-reaching impact.
Conclusion: Momentum Toward a Connected European Future
The SNS JU’s participation at EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025 reaffirmed its pivotal role in steering Europe toward a sustainable, inclusive, and competitive digital future. With the collaborative backing of SNS CO-OP, the SNS JU continues to foster a strong, united research and innovation community, well-equipped to shape the future of 6G and beyond.
