Trust the Grants Platform: the customisable solution for EU projects

OSCARS project brings together world-class European Research Infrastructures (RIs) in the ESFRI roadmap and beyond to foster the uptake of Open Science in Europe across scientific disciplines and communities. As RIs are part of the five Science Clusters, all of them will work together in OSCARS connecting also with the EOSC (European Open Science Cloud).

The aim is to consolidate the achievement of the Science Clusters into lasting interdisciplinary FAIR data services and working practices for the benefit of all domains. Furthermore, the concept of one Community-based Competence Centre per Science Cluster (CCC) allows to address the specific achievements and competences of each cluster, matching each scientific community’s culture and needs besides that it will strength the intra-cluster collaboration and sharing the best practices and strategies.
The five Science Clusters will consolidate their role as thematic EU nodes for “Open Research” fostering the alignment of practices in scientific data analysis.

TRUST-GRANTS Platform in action

As a part of this project consortium, Trust-IT Services supports the implementation of the Open Calls through the deployment of the TRUST-GRANTS Platform and processes.
The TRUST-GRANTS Platform allows to processing of both parts, developing either the applications than the evaluation steps.
From one side, applicants are able to access the platform and fill out all the fields to apply to the specific Open Call. They can see on the left the entire application process to fill out, including the notes under each field specifying what to enter in that section, and also track the status of their application directly from their dashboard. An instant message functionality allows direct contact with the administrators.
On the other side, the TRUST-GRANTS Platform contributes to the evaluation process for the selected evaluators, who are able to see the applications they have been assigned to and perform their role, once logged in with their profile. A comments option is available on the voting system, allowing evaluators to motivate their choice to the other voting partners.
