CISERO Open Source Webinar

On 19 November 2025, the CISERO project will host a 90-minute webinar, from 14:00 to 15:30, bringing together stakeholders from IPCEI-CIS projects and the wider EU ecosystem. The event will focus on how Open-Source Software (OSS) can drive innovation, reduce dependencies, and strengthen European digital sovereignty.

 

Purpose and Scope

This webinar will explore the central role of Open-Source Software (OSS) in cloud infrastructure, a key technological domain for Europe's data sovereignty and competitiveness. 

The session will: 

  • Highlight the importance of OSS in accelerating innovation and reducing dependencies in cloud-edge systems;
  • Present CISERO's OSS-related roadmap activities and support services;
  • Address challenges in governance, licensing, maintenance, and interoperability;
  • Share experiences from IPCEI-CIS projects leveraging open-source solutions for cloud infrastructure;
  • Foster collaboration and community-building within the European OSS ecosystem.

The focus will be on concrete implementations and needs in orchestration, modular frameworks, secure data flows, and EU-based cloud-edge stacks.
