Unveiled in September 2023, the EOSC Association's restyled website is set to inspire Open Science and support the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

In a significant leap forward for Open Science in Europe, the EOSC Association has announced the launch of its new official website in September 2023, supported by Trust-IT Services. This exciting development comes just in time for the 2023 edition of the EOSC Symposium and brings with it a wealth of fresh content, resources, and insights aimed at advancing Open Science policies and practices across the continent.

The EOSC Association, established as the governing body of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), has been at the forefront of the Open Science movement since its formation on July 29, 2020. Initially composed of four founding members, the Association has rapidly expanded to encompass more than 250 Members and Observers, highlighting the growing commitment to fostering Open Science principles across Europe.

One of the central responsibilities of the EOSC Association is to deliver on the objectives outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the European Union and the EOSC Association, marking the official Partnership. This partnership signifies a unified effort to drive Open Science forward, ensuring that knowledge creation, education, innovation, accessibility, and transparency are at the core of European research and development endeavours.

Crucially, the EOSC Association is instrumental in the coordination and guidance of investments related to the EOSC ecosystem. This ecosystem is brought to life through a series of funded projects and initiatives from Member States and Associated Countries. The EOSC Association leverages its Task Forces where both our CEO Silvana Muscella and senior manager and shareholder Sara Pittonet are members of and other governance structures to provide direction and coherence to these investments, ultimately advancing Open Science practices and policies in a coordinated manner across Europe.
