About INCLUDE

INCLUDE (INTEGRATED CLOUD, EDGE, AND DEVICE STAKEHOLDER ALIGNMENT) is a Coordination and Support Action that will act as the coordination and governance backbone for Europe's 3C Initiative.

The main aim of the project is to coordinate and enable the creation of a converged, open, and interoperable Telco-Edge-Cloud infrastructure for Europe, based on real-world market trends and expectations, by facilitating a seamless flow of information and technology between the supply and demand sides of the digital infrastructure value chain.

Over 36 months INCLUDE will connect the peer projects of the 3C Initiative, the supply-side Large-Scale Pilot, the Open Internet Stack, and the Roadmap for Next-Generation Computing Technologies, with the wider demand-side community across telecoms, cloud, software, hardware, AI and vertical industries. The result will be a converged 3C Networks Stakeholder Technology Roadmap, a shared Governance Framework, and open collaborative tools and methodologies that will make it easier for stakeholders on both the supply and demand sides to access, validate and adopt 3C Network building blocks. 

Trust-IT's role in INCLUDE

Trust-IT leads Work Package 4 “Stakeholder Engagement, Dissemination, Communications & Impact Assessment” the work package responsible for building and sustain an informed, engaged community around INCLUDE and the broader 3C Initiative. Trust-IT designs and delivers the project's Communication, Dissemination and Engagement Plan, shapes a coherent 3C Initiative identity across the project's website, social channels and knowledge-sharing platform, and coordinates outreach across five key stakeholder groups: supply-side and demand-side organisations, policymakers, research & innovation communities, and communities of practice. Trust-IT is also responsible for impact monitoring and the project's long-term sustainability strategy ensuring INCLUDE's progress and outcomes remain visible, measurable and impactful throughout the project's lifetime. 

Expected impact

INCLUDE is designed to give Europe a converged, credible roadmap for the evolution of the Telco-Edge-Cloud continuum, one that captures the interests of both supply-side and demand-side stakeholders and gives European businesses the confidence to plan around a reliable, sovereign cloud alternative. By the end of the project, INCLUDE aims to have published two iterations of the 3C Networks Stakeholder Technology Roadmap, engaged more than 250 organisations across its roadmap and campaign activities, organised at least 4 cross-value-chain workshops and 6 demand-side focus groups while having established a shared Governance Framework together with a curated, growing catalogue of open-source 3C building blocks, complete with an accompanying developer handbook and training programme.

INCLUDE has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 101298498
