CESSDA

Brief Description

CESSDA stands for Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives and ERIC stands for European Research Infrastructure Consortium. It provides large-scale, integrated, and sustainable data services to the social sciences, bringing together social science data archives across Europe. Its mission includes promoting social science research results and supporting national and international research and cooperation. CESSDA offers access to a vast data catalogue, digital tools, and training resources, while also emphasising FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles. It collaborates with national service providers to maintain high data quality and facilitate cross-border access. 

Our Role

Trust-IT has been a partner with CESSDA since 2017, including in the SSHOC project. Over this period we have redesigned their website, provided analysis on engagement best practices for their user communities, organised events, and recorded podcasts. The 5 webinars of the CESSDA roadshow series of 2021, exploring global research challenges from COVID-19, migration to climate change, cancer and chronic diseases, and the circular economy, have all been a success, with their 200+ registrants, 140+ attendees, 130+ new subscribers to the newsletter, 30+ speakers, and 15 showcased user stories

Currently, we provide graphical and content production support for CESSDA's channels, as well as ad hoc event support, by bringing a wealth of expertise in data research and communication. Our support includes crafting and managing content for CESSDA's website and social media channels, preparing newsletters, and coordinating editorial efforts.
