Brief description

AI-SPRINT has developed a framework for developing AI applications in the computing continuum with security and privacy built into the early design stage and the seamless management of time-varying conditions typical of real environments. Three real-world scenarios, spanning farming 4.0, maintenance and inspection and personalised healthcare demonstrated the applicability of AI-SPRINT in diverse contexts and the impacts of its novel solutions.

Our Role

Trust-IT was responsible for the coordination of the 36-month AI-SPRINT’s communication strategy, with a wide range of strategic and tactical activities:

  • Visual identity and reputation-building.
  • UX web platform design, rollout and evolution with SEO-driven content creation.
  • Community building, primarily via LinkedIn as a tried-and-tested professional network with informative and SMART campaigns on Twitter.
  • Communications and marketing packages, including video pills.
  • Raising awareness and openly demonstrating clear economic, social, and technological benefits of utilizing AI-SPRINT solutions within the AI market.
  • Maximising the impact of research, enabling the value of results to be potentially wider than the original focus.
  • Event planning, promotion and impact tracking.

Impact

Impact creation has been organised over two periods. In the first part AI-SPRINT kicked-off the activity related to reputation building (paper submission, technical posters, …) especially with the developer and research community. In the second part, and particularly during the last year, the project focused on showcasing mature results at international fairs, industry events, and various other types of gatherings. This strategic emphasis on presenting developed technologies, and innovations aligns with the broader objectives of both exploitation activities and impact creation.

The engagement in international fairs and industry events served as a platform to introduce AI-SPRINT outcomes to a wider audience, including potential adopters, collaborators, and stakeholders. It facilitated the translation of research and development efforts into tangible, real-world applications and solutions. These events provided an opportunity for direct interaction, networking, and collaboration with industry professionals, researchers, and potential partners.

The connection between these activities and the overall impact creation lies in the ability to bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications. Through effective communication, dissemination, and engagement, AI-SPRINT not only has promoted its innovative solutions but also contributed to the development of an ecosystem that responds to the evolving digitisation needs of both industry and the public sector. This, in turn, supported the overarching impact goals of the project, including ecosystem development, fostering industrial capability in cloud computing, and encouraging the development of advanced cloud-based services in Europe.

Results

The AI-SPRINT project has achieved the following results:
  • 1400+ overall profiled community members
  • 400+ participants in 8 webinars
  • 36 peer-reviewed publication and 12 Journal papers promoted
  • 4 meetings organised with the AI-SPRINT Alliance Members
  • 1 final event held physically attracting 80 participants coming from 18 EU countries

Funding

AI-SPRINT has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 101016577.
